Day Two of Teh Invasion (the most important day!) will come tomorrow... ;)

In other news, I just called the optical shop to see if my glasses have come in, as it's been 2 weeks since I've ordered them. The manager told me that my awesome Yossie glasses are back-ordered and might take days or even WEEKS before they come in. :*( At the very least, my other pair will still be sent in regardless of the other's availability. The manager will call me back after 5 PM today after they get another shipment in. Let's hope I get at least ONE of my new pairs in before the trip. :P

Just for Fun

When I first started planning for this trip, the first thing I researched was the Tokyo railway system. Why? I grew up with this:

Ah, the good ol' SIMPLE DC Metro. Five lines that stretch across the DC metropolitan area (Woohoo MD-DC-VA!).

Now I deal with THIS:

and a bit of this, too:

Apparently, there are SEVERAL different rail systems in Tokyo. However, upon further reading, I realized that the Yamanote line on JR East would be our main link around Tokyo. Though the first map I posted up there scared the bejeezus out of me when I first saw it, it doesn't bother me since I only have to focus on this part:

You might notice that most of our sightseeing spots are located around this line, such as Shibuya, Ueno, Shinjuku, etc.

So yeah, riding around the metro in Tokyo should be an adventure whether we get lost or not. LOL.

For more information about the Tokyo subway:

and the Yamanote Line:

If you can, please share any interesting Tokyo subway stories or tips!

I Love my Dad <3

I went home for Easter with my family this weekend. Once we got home after the mass this is what happened:

*Dad pulls out checkbook*

Dad: How much do you need for your trip?

Me: Whaaa? I don't know...

*Dad scribbles and hands me a check*

Me: o_O Uh.

Dad: It's for baon.*

Me: LOL! Thank you!

Dad: Eat good.

*baon = Tagalog for provision, as in for food or the food itself.

Lunchgirl in Tokyo

Flash news from lunchgirl (actually she's on the phone with me now) XD

Lunchgirl will be in Tokyo during The Japanland Invasion, the WHOLE week. ME SHOCK! o_0

She will follow her boss to Tokyo, from May 6 – 10. The schedule hasn't confirmed yet, but she should be in Tokyo the whole time. Unfortunately she won't be able to join me since she has to stick with her boss 24/7 -_-"

Though there's still good news. For one night, for sure, her boss and all followers will have dinner with the Air Attache, and I am staying at the Air Attache place. If he won't kick me out because of that official visit, I would have a chance to see her

d@mn! Now I wish I could just screw the plan and follow her around Tokyo :miki:

j/k, of course XD

Who is Lunchgirl? Well...

One Month to Go! (hide version)

Teh Ecchi #2 got so excited because the time is getting closer, but not Teh Ecchi #1.

I'm the one who should be a nervous wreck by now. Why? Let see...

It's moronic, is what it is.
